By Rex A Parker PhD... with a nod to sci-fi author Vernor Vinge, here is my gallery of deep sky astrophotography. All originals from my home observatory in central New Jersey near the Delaware River (40 deg N lat), or from Chile at Observatorio El Sauce in the Atacama high desert (-30 deg S lat, 1530m elev). See the section at right for equipment and process. The Chilean remote imaging project is a collaboration with Mark Hanson, Steve Mazlin, Stuart Forman, and Stan Watson.
As Director of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton, I also invite you to tune in to AAAP's monthly presentations. Our meetings feature talks by astronomers and astrophysicists, broadcast via Zoom or YouTube on the 2nd Tues each month. https://www.princetonastronomy.org/index.php A growing library of science and how-to astronomy presentations can be found on AAAP's YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@amateurastronomersassociat1439
