By Rex A Parker... with a nod to famed sci-fi author Vernor Vinge ("A Deepness in the Sky") here is my picture gallery of deep sky astrophotography. These are all originals from photons collected using amazing telescopes located at my home observatory in west central New Jersey not far from the Delaware River (latitude ~40 deg N), or in Chile at Observatorio El Sauce in the south Atacama (latitude ~30 deg S, elev 1525m). For the Chilean remote imaging project, I am partnering with expert astro-imagers Steve Mazlin, Mark Hanson, Stuart Foreman, and Stan Watson (owner of the equipment). The New Jersey telescope is an AGO 12.5" reflector; the Chilean scope is a Planewave 24". For more info on the imaging systems see the Equipment & Process section.
