Galaxies are concentrations of hundreds of millions to billions of
stars located far outside our own galaxy, the Milky Way. Shapes
range from helical spirals to barred spirals to spherical halos,
seen in various angles of view, as originally described by Edwin
Hubble. Colors are real - e.g., new star-forming "H2" regions glow
red with Hydrogen-alpha light.
